Trauma Healing for Feral Cat
“Lessons from the Wild.”
Video Lesson One:
Young pregnant feral cat meets humans. A study in first meetings and relationships.
Back and forth, in and out, establishing safety for herself – and keeping the door open in case she needs to bolt – like “cup of coffee, first date.” Growling, purring, growling, purring – understanding trauma healing.
We had been feeding her outside, because she was always starving… We didn’t know she had 6 kittens inside her, and this was the first time that she ventured into the house.
We named her Minky, aka “Little Minx.” Isn’t she sweet?
